The number of Americans who oppose a constitutional amendment that would give Congress the power to punish flag-burning as protest is up sharply from 2004, according to a survey released by the First Amendment Center. [via Undernews]

Retail giant HMV has pulled all albums and DVDs by Alanis Morissette from store shelves to protest an exclusive deal she signed with Starbucks.

Two men were married in the chapel at Nova Scotia's Greenwood airbase in May, in what's being called the Canadian military's first gay wedding.
