Rowley Blows Whistle on Herself

Among the choice tidbits you get from the new edition of Politics in Minnesota (available on a free trial subscription basis until July 29), are Al Franken's favorite music downloads, grumbles about Minneapolis Mayor R.T. Rybak's inability to stay on message, and a note about DFL Congressional candidate Colleen Rowley's televised admission that she voted for the Bush/Cheney ticket in 2000 (and for her upcoming opponent, John Kline).

Rowley, of course, has one of the all-time great excuses for switching her party preference. When she was at the FBI, the Republicans ignored her warnings about Zacarias Moussaoui, the so-called "20th terrorist" who has subsequently pled guilty to six counts of terrorism conspiracy and admitted in court that he wanted to fly a plane into the White House.
