Crime blotter: Looting--Rosemount style

On June 8th, at roughly 6:15 p.m., Rosemount police responded to a call from a residence on 147th Street West. An 11-year-old boy who lived at the address informed the responding officer that approximately 10 minutes earlier a man had repeatedly knocked on the door of the residence. When the boy eventually answered the man asked him if his father was home. The kid told him that he was not.

According to a criminal complaint filed last month in Dakota County District Court, the man then stood in the front yard smoking a cigarette. He eventually entered the house's open garage, removed a case of Miller Lite beer, and left.

Two weeks later, Lucas Eric Poole was arrested in connection to the theft and charged with first degree burglary.
