Crime blotter: Would Jared drop more pounds on a prison diet?

Categories: Crime
On the morning of August 19th, a 46-year-old male entered the Subway sandwich shop at 2121 University Avenue in St. Paul. He ordered a sandwich and then demanded all of the money from the cash register, according to a criminal complaint filed in Ramsey County District Court. The clerk observed no weapon, but complied with the man's demand, handing over $245.13. The robber then fled eastbound on University Avenue.

Unfortunately he left one thing behind: his wallet. When the cops arrived they found it sitting on the counter. The ID inside indicated that it belonged to James Larry Jackson. Jackson was arrested on Friday and charged with one count of second degree aggravated robbery. He has three prior robbery convictions in St. Paul.
