Crime blotter: doggy style

Categories: Crime
On November 7th, an unnamed passenger reported that his dog, Gigi, had been stolen from the baggage claim area of the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport. According to a criminal complaint filed in Hennepin County District Court, the pet was worth more than $2,000. The breed of dog is not noted, but it does state that the animal was registered with the American Kennel Club. Six days later, in an unrelated investigation, airport police discovered a "priority pet receipt" for Gigi in the possession of Anthony Thomas Rocco. The 21-year-old Cottage Grove resident allegedly admited that he stole the dog. Rocco faces two felony counts of theft.
