Pretty good bookstore?

Garrison Keillor plans to enter the bookstore business. The novelist and Prairie Home Companion host has been scouting locations in the Selby-Dale neighborhood of St. Paul. He's currently in negotiations to take over the basement spot below Nina's Coffee Cafe, at the intersection of Selby and Western avenues. Keillor confirmed the business venture in an off-hand manner yesterday on the Praire Home Companion web site. In a rambling response to a question about how he spent the summer months, he offered this tidbit: "I decided to open a bookstore." No details are yet available about what type of inventory the new shop will stock. But with the closing of Ruminator Books and Bound to be Read in recent years, St. Paul could certainly use an independent store featuring new books.
