VP Pawlenty Meter: McCain uses Google in VP selection process
Today we learned a very important piece of information about the McCain Veepstakes, which at times resembled Lost for the cryptographic musings they inspire: John McCain is using Google in his vetting process.
"You know, basically it's a Google," he said to laughter at a fund-raising luncheon when asked how the selection process was going. "What you can find out now on the Internet -- it's remarkable."
So what does this mean for our man T-Paw?
Here is the Google search for "Tim Pawlenty."
The top link is Pawlenty telling Fox News that he'd accept the VP invitation if asked.
The next link is Pawlenty touring a flood-ravaged version of Minnesota, much like McCain recently did in New Orleans to draw a distinction between himself and President Bush.
Then a link is T-Paw brandishing the "veto pen" and burnishing his bona fides as a fiscal Republican (Mitt Romney supporters, are you listening?).
We'll have to give this round to the Guv. Accordingly, we are raising the VP Meter to Yellow:
