Michele Bachmann to the world: Drill in ANWR to save Wall St.

bachman.jpg Minnesota Rep. Michele Bachmann always knows best. And she is quite convinced drilling in Alaska's Arctic National Wildlife Refuge will save Wall Street and ease the financial burden of the bailouts on Americans. I can't wait to hear what other magical solutions are hidden underneath that frozen and treeless tundra.

In her most recent blog, Bachmann urged the President to open up ANWR to help relieve Americans of the crisis in the banking industry.

Faced with a looming bail-out of the financial sector hovering around the $700 billion dollar mark, I’ve signed a letter written by Congressman Joe Barton (Ranking Republican on the House Energy and Commerce Committee) urging the President to consider opening up ANWR and the Eastern Gulf of the OCS to improve our energy security, lower energy prices, and provide needed revenue to the Treasury to help shoulder the burden the bail-out will place on the American taxpayer.

This comes after she assured us that drilling in ANWR might save the environment too. She says Caribou can't get enough of that steamy hot pipeline and flock to it for warmth in the arctic winters. And they get so hot and turned on that they reproduce and their populations grow. Maybe we should send panda bears there too in hopes the pipelines can help them save their own species.
