Rage Against The Machine to play surprise show at 6:30 p.m. today
By Ben Westhoff
City Pages has learned that Rage Against The Machine will play a free show tonight on the State Capitol lawn as part of the Ripple Effect music festival. Punk band Anti-Flag plays at 5:45, and Rage will go on next, probably around 6:30.
Though it has long been rumored that the group would jump on the bill, organizers asked that he information be embargoed until now, as the multiplatinum act is not on the event's permit. So come early, because it could well be shut down by police!
Rage played a large anti-war rally in Denver last week as well. The band also plays Target Center tomorrow.
