Stevie Wonder's been a funk and soul legend for decades, but an activist too. His birthday tribute made the top slot of the five songs about Martin Luther King post I did for the Dreamer's holiday.
In going through the remnants of my DNC multimedia, I found a complete recording I did of Stevie performing "Signed, Sealed, Delivered," while warming up the Invesco Field at Mile High crowd for Barack Obama. It's the right mix of tuneful, funky and timely.
