A man wanted revenge for the April shooting death of his cousin, but he believed the shooter had fled the country, so he killed that man's friend instead, according to charges filed Monday. That murder case remains open. Because that makes sense?

Man's fake security breach at MSP is successful, but what does it mean?
"A first-class traveler cleared security with a phoney Twin Cities-to-Washington boarding pass for Northwest Airlines, no photo identification and wearing an Osama bin Laden T-shirt under his coat as part of a test of airport security in this post-9/11 world." The breach was part of a first-person account in Atlantic magazine's November issue that argues that the Transportation Security Administration is a waste of money.

RNC panel gets 2 more members- Pioneer Press (can't find link)
Two more members have been added to a St. Paul commission that will review police planning and procedures during the Republican National Convention. The panel will now include former St. Paul Mayor George Latimer and Linda White, the current director of finance and operations at the Hallie Q. Brown Community Center in St. Paul and the former deputy director of the MinĀ­neapolis Department of Civil Rights.

KFAN co-host sticks by Dubay's side
KFAN radio host Jeff Dubay was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of a fifth-degree felony controlled substance violation, but his sidekick Paul Allen said on air Monday that his colleagues support him. Whew, it's nice to know your co-workers will spread your private details to the public when you need it most.
