Coleman's Suitgate goes national

Categories: Norm Coleman

Sen. Norm Coleman's strategy of non-answers isn't working so well for him. Now the national press is paying attention and his closet is the entire country's business. Read the back story on Blotter.

The Star Tribune's Patricia Lopez appeared on MSNBC to talk about the Senate race. At the end of the interview, Lopez is asked about the suit controversy. Lopez insists the issue hasn't become a major issue in the campaign because voters are still focused on the economy. Watch the video after the jump.

The Wall Street Journal also published a blog about the ongoing ridiculousness:

The impression that a wealthy businessman might have curried favor with the senator could be toxic, especially in a race that Coleman's own campaign has turned into a referendum on character.

Chris Cillizza of the Washington Post also mentions Suitgate, calling the press conference earlier this week "perhaps the most awkward press conference in the history of politics."

Seriously Coleman. Make this stop.
