Wikipedia shakes finger at Erik Paulsen

Categories: Elections
Photo grab courtesy of The Deets Wikipedia and Erik Paulsen, the 3rd district Republican candidate, aren't on the best terms right now. If you are bored enough to check out Erik Paulsen's Wikipedia page, you'll come across an embarrassing warning on the top. Paulsen apparently doesn't know that encyclopedias aren't free campaign advertisements. Here is what you'll see at the top of Paulsen's page:
This article or section is written like an advertisement. Please help rewrite this article from a neutral point of view. For blatant advertising that would require a fundamental rewrite to become encyclopedic, use {{db-spam}} to mark for speedy deletion. (October 2008)
We decided to check out the page for ourselves. Frankly, nothing on it is obviously political or factually incorrect. While it does read like a terrible resume, it doesn't make any obscene claims. We'd love to rip on Paulsen for not understanding Wiki rules, but it's tough when clearly no one except his campaign probably cares about religiously updating it. The one questionable statement:
During his time as a leader in the Minnesota legislature, Paulsen worked on many issues, including compassionate care, better schools, job creation, and protecting Minnesota's environment.
Our favorite part of the page?
The father of four daughters, Paulsen loves spending time with his family and coaching soccer. [citation needed].
Now that is a questionable fact. I wouldn't believe it for a second. Screenshot by edkohler.
