11/11 Morning Must Reads: Obamamania, Bosnian murderer, Green JOBZ

Tuesday's five most fascinating stories printed on wood pulp:

Minnesotans really want a spot at the Inauguration
Apparently we weren't the only ones looking into Inauguration tickets. Congressional offices, particularly in Democratic districts, are being flooded with requests to President-elect Barack Obama's Inauguration Jan. 20. Rep. Keith Ellison's office said they won't know the final number of tickets they'll be given until about a week before the ceremony to prevent scalping. Throw your name in the hat now!

Bosnian murderer caught in Lino Lakes
Minnesota is such a great place to hide out as a convicted murderer. Until you get caught, that is. A Lino Lakes Man fled Bosnia after he shot and killed a fellow Bosnian who cursed his mother 16 years ago, federal officials said Monday.

Pawlenty gets crazy with new green initiative
Gov. Tim Pawlenty's green initiative isn't anything wild, but we are really excited about his job program's name: Green JOBZ. Are we inviting BRATZ into the state to spice things up or what?

Baby was already dead when stabbed, medical examiner says
A medical examiner says Nicole Beecroft's baby was already dead when someone stabbed the infant more than 100 times shortly after birth. Beecroft, 19, is accused of stabbing her newborn daughter to death in April of last year in the Oakdale home where she lived with her mother. We still have an unanswered question: Why would someone stab their dead baby with a steak knife?

Former Viking really doesn't want to get convicted
Pro football Hall of Famer and former Minnesota Viking Carl Eller wants a judge to dismiss his assault and drunken driving charges. He says investigators didn't preserve or turn over evidence that proves his innocence. According to the PiPress: Eller was charged with fourth-degree assault, terroristic threats, driving while impaired and refusing to submit to a chemical test following an incident at his home early on April 9.
