The new Laura Jeffrey Academy is Minnesota's first public "girl-focused" charter school, which seeks to help young girls boost their confidence and gain strengths in science, technology, engineering and math. They believe girls learn better without boys in the classroom, but the school is open to male enrollment. What 10-year-old would want to be "that" boy screwing up the school? At least his chances of getting a girlfriend skyrocket.
Rep. Jim Ramstad's 18 years in Congress culminated in one last visit to the Oval Office as he watched President Bush sign his mental health parity bill into law. But this might not be his last time there as rumors continue to point to Ramstad for a position in the Obama administration.
