Minnesota Independent's parent company, the Center for Independent Media sent a memo to staffers warning them that "it is imperative that you do not talk to the media yourself about [this week's layoffs and CIM restructuring]. Yesterday we reported that full timers Molly Priesmeyer and Andy Birkey were laid off from MNIndy and their freelance budget disappeared.

There were also significant layoffs in Colorado.
