Don't fall for this sob story. Neither Tracy nor Tom spent quality time with those boys. They have been 100 percent raised by nannies since birth. Even on weekends. This is a PR pitch to get out 'Tom's side of the story.'

Why isn't Tracy Mixon being investigated? Do they realize SHE made political contributions listing HERSELF as a PETTERS EXECUTIVE? if you google "tracy mixon political contributions" and you'll find Ms. Mixon is so mingled in on the fraud - reaping ALL the benefits and trying to cover her "a--" by doing a pleading heart interview on WCCO. This woman is a drunk who is low enough to EXPLOIT her own children on television to save herself.

Funny that he misses his kids now....it never seemed to bother him that he didn't ever see his kids while he was in Vegas becoming one of the highest comped guests at the Bellagio. He or Tracy didn't seem to find it necessary to be with those boys when they were merely days old. So much for mother/child bonding; she left the youngest (Nick) when he was less than one week old to go on a several-week trip to France. She left Joey with a nanny for months when she went to rehab the first time in Arizona. She is so rediculously stupid that she truly believes being a mess of Britney Spears magnitude is admirable as long as media attention comes with it. She is probably parked on a barstool at Redstone or Sunset's this very second, extensions flapping in the breeze, scanning the room for a more legitimate sugar daddy to impregnate her.

It’s funny that all of you make these comments about the Petters family when none of you know them personally.... I happen to be a close friend and have seen the way that Tom is around his kids and his oldest daughter and I have never seen someone care about anyone the way he does about them. Maybe all of you should start focusing on your own lives and children rather than criticizing others.

To Petters friend...I wouldn't admit to having a friend like him. If he cares so much about his children then he should have thought about what would happen if and when he eventually got caught. I have children who are now grown and if I had been doing stuff I could go to prision for the rest of my life for-- than all I can say is how stupid of me..and as for Tom how stupid of him. He would be with his family who is supposed to be so precious to him if he didn't make his own bed..,Guess he will have to sleep in it now. It is really nice what he did to Miami University and how they were going to name a wing John T. Petters Center for Leadership, Ethics and Skills Development in their New School of Business. I really bet he could teach young students a bit about Ethics of all things. I work at Miami University and that is a real joke up here. Of course Miami is out about 9 Million because of Tom the family man. If I were you I would choose my friends more wisely. Look at your friends and that is where you will see yourself in five years. Yikes...

It is amazing what people will believe. People will say the most vile and vicious things about another human being.

Follow these stories. There are others who have recently taken falls and are also sitting in prison. Receivorships somehow take the bulk of the money seized..... it is really fascinating.... it would take journalistic integrity though for someone to dig in and find (and then publish) the real stories here...........

i was a friend of john petters, his son(deceased) and i remember tom as being an excellent father....just because someone is involved in illegal acts it does not make them bad parents.

I worked for Tom in the 80's. He was always more than fair with us and did whatever he could do for his employees. Is he a saint? Absolutely not. But Tom loved his kids, friends and employees. I'm just shocked that someone close to him would turn him in unless he knew it was happening. Tom's employees tended to be very loyal. He may be guilty as hell, but I wish him the best.

How did his son die?
