Burnsville apartment fire victims get a last minute holiday gift

Earlier week we reported the horrific apartment fire in Burnsville that left nearly 200 people homeless when an apartment building burst into flames and was deemed a total loss. Although it can't replace everything, the victims received an extremely generous gift just in time for the holidays.
The victims were also flooded with material donations for immediate use as well as other cash donations, the Star Tribune says.
An anonymous donor gave $1 million to the victims. That's an average of $15,000 for each of the 64 families in the building, the Pioneer Press says.
Goodman Group Chairman John B. Goodman and fellow businessman Nasser Kazeminy, each donated $50,000. Kazeminy is better known in Minnesota as Sen. Norm Coleman's buddy currently being sued for allegedly trying to funnel $75,000 to the senator's family.
But there is still more heartbreaking sides to the fire. One of the victims is dealing with the loss of her apartment from a hospital bed. The woman was already hospitalized for injuries from car accidents when she heard her apartment was destroyed.
