Al Franken took the lead over Norm Coleman for the first time, according to the Star Tribune

As of 10 a.m., the Star Tribune says Franken is ahead by 46 votes as the state Canvassing Board continues to vote on challenged ballots.

Coleman warned us that he would be behind in votes today, but he says he will retake the lead and win reelection in the end.

While the number sounds exciting to Franken supporters, don't get your hopes up just yet. There are still as many as 1,600 wrongly rejected absentee votes that could make their way into the final count which could quickly change the vote totals in the coming weeks.
