WCCO-AM cuts another example of media misery

Last week we reported Don Shelby's heroic pay cut to minimize coworker layoffs. Well WCCO-AM still had to cut and now the layoffs are official.
Sports reporter Dan Terhaar and part-time reporter Roshini Rajkumar were let go by the station, according to the Pioneer Press.

Mary Niemeyer, CBS radio market manager... did confirm that there were some changes occurring at the station.
"We have gone through some resizing to help us better position the business in the current economic climate," said Niemeyer.We just hope Shelby wasn't duped into a pay cut for nothing.
