Alan Page announces judges to hear Coleman suit

Minnesota Supreme Court Justice Alan Page made his three picks for the panel of judges that will hear Norm Coleman's election contest.

The panel has one judge appointed by a Democrat, Republican and Independent. Al Franken is currently leading Coleman by 225 votes.

More from the Pioneer Press:
Stearns County Judge Elizabeth Hayden, appointed by former DFL Gov. Rudy Perpich, Hennepin County Assistant Chief Judge Denise Reilly, appointed by former Republican Gov. Arne Carlson and Pennington County Assistant Chief Judge Kurt Marben, appointed by former Gov. Jesse Ventura, were named to the three-judge panel.
The trial must start by the end of January and could take months to complete. All of the judges will likely drop all of their other work to focus on the case.

Any first thoughts on the picks?
