Coleman takes job with Republican Jewish Coalition

Maybe he is bored or maybe he is strapped for cash. Either way, former Sen. Norm Coleman took a job with the Republican Jewish Coalition while he awaits a final decision in his Minnesota election contest, according to Politico.
Coleman took a paid job as a "consultant and strategic advisor" for the group. The coalition strongly attacked Obama last fall.
Coleman will also travel the country fundraising for the group.Coleman currently trails Al Franken by 225 votes in the U.S. Senate race yet to be made official.
So how can a first-term senator who couldn't win reelection benefit any group?

"It's an opportunity for him to, now that he's got some down time on his hands, to really help us while this case is being adjudicated," Brooks said. "He hasn't given up at all" on retaking the Minnesota seat.
Asked about how the group will afford Coleman, Brooks said that he hoped Coleman would boost the group's fundraising by tapping into his own network of donors.
