So the economy sucks, everyone is broke, and it's kind of a scary time. Well, one way to feel a little better about the world is to try to make a difference in your community. Why not join up with a group of people who also want to help?
The Citizens League, a do-good civic organization in Minneapolis, is organizing groups of young professionals to work on combating poverty and improving financial literacy and education in the Twin Cities.
Policy Advocacy Groups will meet for the first time tomorrow night in Lyn-Lake. Over the next few months, the groups will pick an area of need, research it, and create a project to help out.
Hey, even Bernanke can't figure out what to do about the economy. So why not tackle a problem you can actually do something about?
