TD Mischke is bringing his unique personality to City Pages with a streaming webcast from 2-4 p.m. weekdays starting March 4. In advance of his show, we asked him five questions to give us a sneak preview.

Why did you decide to go with City Pages?

There's a renegade spirit at City Pages that jibes with my own. I'm a nonconformist by nature and this seems like a fine home for such a creature.

How will this be different then what you were doing before on broadcast radio?

I'm diversifying. I'll be writing a lot at City Pages, plus doing video. And even on the webcast it will be different because I'll have even more freedom than at KSTP. No FCC to pen me in. I'll be the FCC.

Tell me about the technical end of this -- I understand you're building a home studio that allows you to be entirely self-sufficient? Will listeners still be able to call in?

Anyone can call in. I'm all set up with phone lines. And yes, I have my own studio. It's what I call "The Back Room" It's my top secret broadcast closet in a forgotten corner of the house. That's where I'll be stationed. Call it the little Saint Paul corner of Minneapolis-based City Pages.

How will the show change now that it's no longer subject to FCC restrictions?

Freedom, freedom, freedom! I'm being cut loose. To hear what all that means people will have to tune in.

Anything else you want to say?

I feel like I'm 25 again, like I'm reborn. Creatively I needed a change. I have renewed energy artistically. This next part of my life is looking like it's going to be a whole hell of a lot of fun.
