Gov. Tim Pawlenty plans to unveil a state spending Web site today that could help policy wonks, journalists, and other interested folks track Minnesota tax dollars at work.

Pawlenty is holding a press conference at 3 p.m. today in the state Capitol to reveal the site. A growing number of states are creating such sites, according to this story in USA Today.
