The Bachmann Effect: The look of utter befuddlement

• She is a mental midget with a big mouth. Her lying about the universal currency is just bad. Who is her audience that will buy that drivel? Joe the Plumber? GOP better get their mental midgets with king size ego's in check otherwise further damage will be done to the party! This is not the GOP's finest hour by a long shot!

• It is incredibly funny when she was sitting down at that debate and the guy next to her clearly stated something and she %100 didn't listen to it and just read her remarks she had already written down. You don't have to even be barely competent to be a member of congress. It is absurd.

• In my opinion, dimwit US Representative Michelle Bachmann is dead wrong about global warming, but is (inadvertently) correct that a carbon diet strategy is not the way to go: The Fourth Assessment Report of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) concluded that global warming is happening. Their three key conclusions are: * It is "unequivocal" that global warming is occurring. * The probability this is caused by natural climatic processes is less than 5%. * The probability this is caused by human emissions is over 90%. "The Panel (on Policy Implications of Greenhouse Warming) calculated that adding stratospheric aerosol dust to the stratosphere would cost just pennies per ton of CO2 mitigated." -�"The Incredible Economics of Geoengineering"

• Shame on us all for borrowing money and making our kids are pay for it! If you went to a credit card company and asked them to up your limit and told them your kids would pay for it, not only would they think it ludicrous, but it would be illegal. Why is it okay for our country to do the same? We need to pay for our own mistakes.

I showed this to my friend and this was his imagined response to her from Geithner: "umm...the founding fathers didn't make a provision for bailouts 220 years after the constitution was adopted?" I can't believe this woman represent my hometown.

• Her question makes no sense, and i'm not surprised that Geithner couldn't tell Mrs. Bachmann where in the constitution he had been granted this authority, as the constitution shouldn't make much mention of the treasury, as it wasn't created until 1789 (two years after the constitution was ratified.)
