Window-smashing RNC protester pleads guilty

Dyer of Brooklyn, N.Y., admitted in a series of questions by Ramsey County prosecutor Rick Dusterhoft that he was downtown taking part in protests on Sept. 1 when he began hitting one of the large Macy's windows with a hammer.He will be sentenced May 28 and the judge told him to be prepared to serve time.
His intent was to smash the window, he admitted.
The state made no deal with Dyer, Dusterhoft said. He pleaded guilty as charged.
