Ellison didn't think jail was a fun place to hang out

Minnesota Rep. Keith Ellison is still getting press time to talk about his planned arrest at a protest in front of the Sudanese Embassy on Monday. While the members of Congress planned the stunt to raise awareness about the situation in Darfur where the aid agencies have been kicked out, people are really more anxious to hear about what it's like being an elected official stuck in a jail cell.

So Ellison once again talks about his first experience getting arrested. To put it lightly, he said it was "unpleasant".

Don't try this at home, kids.

Here is what Ellison said on Bill Press' radio show on Tuesday (via):
"Even though you know you're going to get out, it actually is disconcerting," he added. "It's like, 'Wow, OK, my hands can't move, they're back there and they're behind my back and I can't move 'em if I want to, and I'm in this tiny little paddy wagon,' and you know it's bad."

"I'm just saying, under the best conditions, it's an unpleasant experience," he said.
Good to know.
