Former VP Mondale, New Yorker writer to talk torture Tuesday

New Yorker writer Jane Mayer writes about political issues and recently published her book titled "The Dark Side: The Inside Story of How the War on Terror Turned into the War on American Ideals." The book details the Bush administration's decisions on terrorism policies after 9/11.

Mondale made comments on the memos, which the Minnesota Daily published:
On Monday, Mondale compared the memos, which included justification for interrogation techniques such as waterboarding, to a, "how-to-do-it" manual.Event details:
"There's kind of a detached, cold-bloodedness to those legal opinions," he said. "I think it's important to have these out in the public record," he said.
