If you weren't teabagging someone yesterday, you're probably missing out on something that is sweeping the nation. Teabaggers congregated at so-called "tea parties" Wednesday, also known as Tax Day, to protest President Obama's tax policies, the bailouts, and anything else they didn't really like about America right now.
Think Obama is a fascist? Join us! Saw the rally cry on Fox News? Come on down!
Just open wide and... well nevermind.
Here's a roundup of all things teabagged.
National numbers were hard to estimate, but FiveThirtyEight put it at more than 250,000 based on numbers from officials. Nate Silver looked at the most credible numbers available and estimated 2,000 protesters in St. Paul, 600 in Duluth, 450 in St. Cloud, and 200 in Mankato.
Since when is Jon Stewart a credible... anything. And why doesn't Bill Maher ever debate someone who disagrees with him? Every time I watch that show he has a bunch of liberal hacks like him badmouthing people who aren't there. Piece of _____.
So, the end goal of MediaMatters is to silence dissent by trying to destroy Fox News. By the looks of their homepage, they are happily trampling the 1st Amendment on that one. The end goal is to destroy the conservatives, thus the Republican Party to bring on the One Party System. Now, what kind of governmental system is that? Oh, yes; its called a dictatorship.
Why the crude sexual reference in the title?
It's obvious why the protesters are referred to as "teabaggers".
This is not acceptable journalism.
Typical liberal comment, Merch. Nothing to add to the discussion, just a cutesy comment.
Someone once said, "No one with a heart could be a conservative, and no one with a brain could be a liberal."
You're on the right side of that one!

You hit the nail on the head, Nathan. It's not about taxes, it's about spending. It's about the Fed printing money and devaluing our currency to try to re-inflate first the dot-com and now the housing bubbles.
I do watch Fox News because they are "Fair & Balanced" compared to the other major broadcast and cable channels that worked so hard to get Obama elected. Only an idiot would use Hannity and Beck as examples that Fox is biased. They are commentators with conservative based shows and do not claim to be unbiased news reporters.
Contrast that with ABC's Charley Gibson (who DOES claim to be a reporter) asking Sarah Palin, "Do you REALLY think you're qualified to be President?" He never asked that of Barack Obama, who has zero business, legislative or military experience.
Or how about CBS's Katy Couric going on and on about Palin's $150,000 wardrobe? Did you ever hear one word of criticism about Obama spending over $11,000,000 preparing a separate venue for his acceptance speech at the DNC?
We're in deep trouble as a nation when the mainstream media takes sides and works hard to elect their chosen candidate.
Teabagging has a very different meaning in the UK.
Creamy.
I'm a full-time college student and I work at a grocery store to pay my rent. I don't own a car. I'm no fan of FoxNews and I've got no love for G.Dubya.
I went to the Tea Party because I'm concerned about what seems to be reckless spending on the part of Pres's Bush and Obama, and Congress.
It seems to me that the bailouts are an attempt to reinflate the bubble that led us to this point. Taking money from the private-sector to bailout failed businesses prevents that money from going to productive job-creation. Right now the Federal Reserve is inflating the currency which is going to lead to higher prices. You and I will have a lower standard of living because of these policies.
Alot of people are concerned because they have children, because they have aging parents, or because they themselves are retired. And they're making an effort to do something they think can help.
Because you don't agree with some people's views, Emily, you mock their efforts. It's not that the unfortunate "tea-bagging" pun isn't funny, because it is. You're not funny. You criticize other journalists, but your own writing is full of scorn and arrogance. Even that might not have been so bad had you done it with some degree of intelligence or integrity, but you didn't do that.
What's even more Daily Show worthy is how right wing radio and Fox News Channel pundits rant and rave about the biased media constantly but they stage this thing. Hypocrisy at it's finest.
This will be a total waste of time and a flash in the pan. Protests don't work unless they go on all the time. Everyday or at the very least every week. That's what gets people's attention. You've got to take a page right out of Thoreau, MLK, and Ghandi's best work. That's how you get protests to be successful.
Those crowds will be back at work as a corporate exec and back at their suburban cul-de-sac and condos in no time. You won't get 'em out again.
Nice try though.
