U of M house party hosts at riot site won't be evicted after all

Unless you've been living under a rock, you probably heard about the embarrassing and pointless riot Saturday near the University of Minnesota campus. The students who hosted the largest party at the site of the riot were told to leave the property after the landlord filed eviction notice for violating their lease agreement.

Well the landlord had a change of heart.

Perhaps the Dinkytown Rental owner realized this isn't exactly the best time to be evicting people who are quite happy to pay for overpriced and shitty Dinkytown housing. You have to take what you can get, even if that includes bonfires in the street.

More from the Minnesota Daily:
Dinkytown Rentals cancelled two eviction hearings for students involved in Saturday's riots scheduled for Thursday morning, according to a clerk in the Hennepin County Housing Court.

Tim Harmsen, the students' landord and Dinkytown Rentals owner, said they negotiated an out-of-court settlement with the students earlier this week that will allow the students to stay in the properties.
So when's the next kegger? And we can bring our underage siblings and cousins right?
