This Thursday MPRB announced the dates and times for the summertime openings of their water parks, beaches, pools, and wading pools. Check out hours and locations after the jump.

Water Parks

The Jim Lupient Water Park (1520 Johnson St. NE, Minneapolis; 612.370.3989) opens officially on Friday, June 12. Their hours are 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Regular admission is $5-$6 daily, and $3-$4 after 6 p.m. weekdays.

North Commons Water Park
(1701 Golden Valley Rd., Minneapolis; 612.588.9484) will also be opening soon, though no specific date has been set.

Pools

Webber Pool (4300 Webber Pkwy N., Minneapolis; 612.370.4915) is set to open Friday, June 12. Its hours will be 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. The pool has shallow waters, lap lanes, diving boards, and a basketball hoop. Admission is $2.50 daily, $1 after 6:30 p.m. weekdays.

Wading Pools

Most of the city's 62 wading pools are located near community centers, playgrounds, sports fields, or picnic areas. They are low-depth and there are no lifeguards on duty. Check www.minneapolisparks.org for a list of locations. Most wading pools will be opening between June 10 and June 13. Wading pools are open when they are, um, filled with water.

Beaches

Minneapolis Park and Rec Board has 11 life-guarded beaches around town, which are scheduled to open Saturday, June 13. Lifeguards are on duty seven days a week from noon to 8 p.m. at Calhoun North, Calhoun Thomas, East Cedar, Harriet North, Nokomis Main, and Wirth. They are on duty noon to 8 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays at Calhoun 32nd, Cedar Point, Harriet Southeast, Lake Hiawatha, and Nokomis 50th. There are no lifeguards on duty at Cedar South Beach, so swim at your own risk. Afraid of swimming in sewage? The parks watches water quality carefully, call the beach hotline at 612.313.7713 for updates.
