National American University sues Naughty American University

National American University or Naughty American University... Which would you rather attend? We vote naughty.

National American University is suing their porn competition for trademark violations and cyber piracy for their use of a similar name and the same acronym.

Unfortunately the school doesn't realize it might bring in people who would have never attended a school with a cheesy and nonstop commercial. Whatever tricks kids to attending your school sounds good to us.

One day, one night, Saturday's alright. Online's just fine, nighttime, anytime! Bam!

National American University (NAU) has been operating since 1997 and offering students associate, bachelor's, and master's degree programs on 16 campuses in South Dakota, Colorado, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, New Mexico and Texas.

More from the Associated Press:
The lawsuit seeks to prevent the use of the school's trademark and also asks a jury to award financial damages.

NAU has spent millions of dollars promoting its trademark names through advertising on various mediums, the lawsuit states.

On Sept. 12, 2003, La Touraine registered a domain name and started offering pornographic and sexually explicit adult entertainment services under a Web site called Naughty American University.

On March 13, 2004, La Touraine began selling sexually explicit content with college and academic themes under a Web site named Fast Times at NAU. The company sought to trademark the name but abandoned the effort after Dlorah filed an opposition, according to the complaint and attached documents.
We couldn't find a Naughty American University commercial like the classic school one, but we sure hope they make one. The lyrics are already set up for a porn ad.
