Minnesota health officials confirmed a second case of the H1N1 flu virus, commonly known as swine flu. It's clearly spreading like wildfire, folks. Run for it.

There are another six probable cases in the state, four of which are associated with Emerson Spanish Immersion School in Minneapolis. There are now 18 probable cases still unconfirmed in the state.

More from the Star Tribune:
All but two of the cases are in the Twin Cities area, and all have been mild.

State health officials said more severe cases will likely appear as they focus future testing on hospitalized cases instead of all flu cases.

So far, the state has tested 591 specimens from people reporting flu-like symptoms, and 57 are pending.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says there have been a total of 896 cases and just two deaths in the United States. Worldwide, there are 2,371 reported cases, half of them in Mexico.
