Doctor killer had Operation Rescue phone number
A freeze frame of the KMBC Channel 9 report containing the footage of the phone number.
The name "Cheryl" and a phone number were written on a scrap piece of paper in the car of Scott Roeder, the man accused of killing George Tiller in church yesterday.
Turns out the "Cheryl" in question is Cheryl Sullenger, the group's senior policy adviser, who in 1988 was convicted of conspiring to bomb a California abortion clinic, a crime for which she served two years in prison.
Think Sullenger has some 'splainin' to do? Do did Kendall, so he called her and got it on the record.
Sullenger tells The Pitch that she hasn't spoken with Roeder recently.
"No, he hasn't called me recently," Sullenger said. "No."
She went on: "You know, he's somebody who's been around. My name is on the Internet. It's on every press release. My phone number is on every press release it. It's all over the internet. I don't know. He probably has lots of people's phone numbers. You know? So I don't know. I don't have any more comment other than that."
She's right about one thing: Roeder had been around on the internet. It looks like Roeder may even have put his hatred for Tiller into writing:
PUT THIS MONSTER TILLER BEHIND BARS WHERE HE CAN'T MURDER ANY MORE OF OUR MOST INNOCENT UNBORN BABIES, WHO HAVE NO VOICE!
Scott Roeder has never been a member, contributor, or volunteer with Operation Rescue. Mr. Roeder may have posted to our open blog web site, as have thousands of members of the public, including those with pro-abortion views, but he is not affiliated with this organization.
