The Minnesota Supreme Court came out with their unanimous ruling today stating that Democrat Al Franken should be given the election certificate and be seated in the U.S. Senate in the state's currently vacant seat.

The court said that Coleman failed to prove any election officials violated constitutional rights to equal protection during the election and recount.

"Al Franken received the highest number of votes legally cast and is entitled [under Minnesota law] to receive the certificate of election as United States Senator from the State of Minnesota," the court ruled.
