Another win for Republicans everywhere who just try so very hard to be hip with this thing we've long been calling the internet. Sometimes we call it "the internets" to be old school or "the interwebs," but "the ethernet" just ain't cutting it these days. Good luck connecting with the young folks using that terminology.

While Norm Coleman, who is currently fighting for his seat back in the U.S. Senate, tried to make some good points about conservatives being more aggressive in the online world through social networking and blogs, he showed his true knowledge of all things digitial by calling the internet "the ethernet."

Watch the video below. It comes from an interview at the Heartland Leadership Conference in St. Louis, Missouri.

The quote (via):
"In the end, we need to compete, as I've said before, we need to compete in each and every kind of forum," said Coleman. "And whether it's on the ground traditionally, or today it's in -- it's in the ethernet. It's in the -- you know, it's online. It's in the blogs, it's Twitter, it's Facebook, and the next iteration."
