Police say two people in Fargo and one person in Moorhead received the calls Thursday. Two of the people actually showed up at the hospital to find out it was a prank.
More from Minnesota Public Radio:
The pranks are considered a form of disorderly conduct and are punishable by 30 days in jail and/or a $500 fine, according to Lykken.
Police are asking anyone who receives such a phone call to try to get a number that the person is calling from and return the call.
Anyone with information is also asked to call the Fargo Police Department at (701) 235-4493.
