Another round of light rail closures this weekend

  If you're planning to take the light rail to the airport or Mall of America this weekend, you'll likely be on a bus instead. The light rail will be closed from the 46th St Station to the end of the line at the Mall of America this weekend during construction work.

Starting at 11 p.m. tonight, buses will replace train service from 46th Street to the Mall of America. Service from 46th Street to the Humphrey Terminal will resume on Sunday. Buses will continue to replace trains from Humphrey to the Mall of America until 3:30 a.m. Monday.

Metro Transit will run the buses more frequently than the weekend service trains, but the bus trips do take longer.
