Nothing says "Thank you" like a good old-fashioned shot of pepper spray to the face. The woman's passive aggressive goodbye could lead to charges against her.

A Metro Transit passenger was apparently pretty ticked off when the bus driver refused to let her off at a spot that isn't a designated bus stop. When he let her off at the next stop, she sprayed Mace in his face as she left the bus.

Metro Transit says this is the first time a driver has been attacked with a chemical spray.

More from KSTP:
Metro Transit Police say a female passenger sprayed mace at a driver at the Rice Street and Maryland Avenue West bus stop in St. Paul Friday night.

Metro Transit brought in a relief bus while the driver was treated for his injuries.

Officials say this is the ninth assault this year, but the first to ever include a chemical spray. The agency had 19 assaults in 2008, and 31 in 2007.
Metro Transit Police are hoping bus surveillance video will help them track down the woman who will likely face charges for the assault.
