The office of Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid said Senator-elect Al Franken is tentatively scheduled to be sworn in Tuesday at noon, says the Star Tribune. An exact time hasn't been set, but a Tuesday swearing-in would allow Franken to get settled in Washington.

More from the Strib:
The Monday after July 4 is often treated as a travel day for Congress.

Prior to the swearing in, Franken will have a meeting and photo op with Reid in the Nevada Democrat's office on Monday at 1 p.m., Manley said.
