Only in Wisconsin: Couple allegedly sells their baby for $6,000

  A Wisconsin couple is going to trial after allegedly selling their newborn girl to a woman in Missouri for $6,000. Sounds like this couple got ripped off. We got way more for our babies on the black market and hear you'll get a bigger payout if you make it a bundle package... baby, iPod, and one of those Amazon Kindles.

David Schmidt, 38, and Angela Schmidt, 33, are each charged with unauthorized adoption placement. They could serve six years in prison and owe $10,000 if convicted.

Their lawyer has claimed in the past that the Missouri woman tricked them into thinking this was legitimate. You're going to play the idiot card now? Too late. The mother claimed she was a surrogate, but the baby was her husbands. Sorry lady, can't pull that one off.
