An 8-year-old Minnetonka boy is one heck of a superhero after he jumped into a pool at his grandparent's condominium and saved his grandpa from drowning.

Tanner Jensen was about to jump into the pool when he saw his grandfather, Curtis Hort, lose his balance and fall while taking off his robe. He broke his hip and then slid headfirst into the pool.

Tanner jumped in after his grandpa who couldn't swim. His right side wasn't moving and Hort says he was afraid he was going to drown.

The boy grabbed his grandpa's hair, pulled his head above water and was able to drag him to the shallow end of the pool. He ran to find his grandmother to call 911 for help.

Hort survived the accident and is thankful for his grandson's bravery. Hort is also a Holocaust survivor.

Tanner will be honored by the city of Minnetonka at their city council meeting Sept. 14.

Check out the video below from KARE11. We're hoping the mother realized she was going to be interviewed at the Minnesota State Fair in the glitter hairdo.
