It was even better. It was a Brett Favre goat. And she planned to slaughter it later. Car trunks are a great place to store animals anyway.
Was it in celebration or a creative Favre voodoo doll? Not sure, but it freaked out the repairman who quickly called animal control.
More from the Winona Daily News:
A woman came into the Tires Plus in Winona just before noon, asking if the shop had time to replace a belt. She said she planned to butcher it later, but was passing through Winona on her way to St. Paul.
Prusci started the paperwork.
"Oh, by the way," the woman said. "I have a goat in my trunk."
Prusci didn't think he heard her right.
"Yes, a goat," the woman said. "And it's alive."
The poor goat was painted in Minnesota Viking colors with Brett Favre's No. 4 shaved on its side. Favre debuted as the Vikings quarterback in a preseason game Friday. The auto repairman found the goat inside the trunk, lying on its side and tied at the feet. The goat had large horns.
Animal control took the goat and brought it to the local vet. They named him Brett and he is now in foster care. The woman could face a possible citation or charge based on the incident.
