Elderly woman escapes from Woodbury nursing home

Nursing homes are often regarded with apprehension by new and prosepctive occupants. So when we read in this morning's Strib that a 75-year-old woman wandered off from a Woodbury assisted living center last night, our initial thought was that the crafty eldress had fled to freedom, or at least attempted to.

Not so.

Authorities say she suffers from dementia and is unfamiliar with the area. She's described at being about 5-foot-5, 150 pounds wearing yellow, floral-patterned pajamas, glasses, and New Balance running shoes. If you have any tips, contact authorities at 651.439.9381.
