Scott P. McDonough, 32, was charged Monday was two counts of first-degree aggravated robbery in armed robberies of three gas stations.
McDonough allegedly robbed a SuperAmerica on Ford Parkway and a Marathon Gas Station on W. 7th St. within minutes of each other July 27. Police say he then robbed another SuperAmerica in Eagan that night.
Police searched the state database of criminals for his distinctive tattoo and found McDonough. He had been arrested that same night for criminal vehicular operation and just happened to have nearly $1,000 in cash on him at the time.
No word yet and where the gun is that was used in the crimes.
