Keillor anxious to "get right back to work" following minor stroke

News of Garrison Keillor's minor stroke over the weekend went national Wednesday and now the radio host says he is eager to get out of the hospital and back to work.

Keillor's "A Prairie Home Companion" radio show season kicks off Sept. 26 and there are no indications that he will postpone that show due to his health.

Keillor released a statement through the show Wednesday.

From the Star Tribune:
In a statement released through his St. Paul-based radio show, Keillor said he first went to United Hospital's emergency room in St. Paul, "where I got excellent care and then was transferred to Mayo simply because they know so much more about me down there."

He added that he is "in the hands of smart and compassionate people" at Mayo and is eager to "get right back to work."
