Garrison Keillor, host of "A Prairie Home Companion", has been hospitalized since Sunday after suffering a minor stroke, a hospital spokesperson confirmed to the Star Tribune today.

Keillor, 67, is currently at the Mayo Clinic's St. Marys Hospital in Rochester after suffering the stroke Sunday morning.

He "is up and moving around, speaking sensibly, working at a laptop, and it's expected he'll be released on Friday," said Mayo spokesman Karl Oestreich in the Strib report. "He plans to resume a normal schedule next week."

The Strib originally reported the rumor after seeing a post on his Facebook page announcing his hospitalization. That post was then taken off the site and changed to "Garrison Keillor is enjoying a sunny day at an undisclosed location in southern Minnesota."

The spokesman for Keillor's radio show said a statement from him will be coming soon.
