Oberstar on Bachmann: "There are voices other than God that are informing her"

​ Rep. Jim Oberstar took a couple hits at his Minnesota colleague, Rep. Michele Bachmann, during some meetings with constituents up north. He's pretty sure she's hearing some weird voices in her head and they sure aren't from God anymore.

According to the Duluth News Tribune Buzz blogs (via MnIndy), Oberstar had some money quotes that could make any sort of working relationship between the two slightly awkward from now on. But Oberstar has been around so long that he gets a pass to truly speak his mind and keep the newbies in check.

​When a woman at a health care reform meeting brought up Bachmann, Oberstar called her a "very sweet woman," but then went on to say "there are voices other than God that are informing her."

During another meeting with labor union leaders, one man relayed Bachmann's quote telling her supporters to slit their wrists and become blood brothers in the fight.

"Oberstar said he hadn't heard about that statement, then added, 'I don't think God's talking to her anymore. I think she's hearing other voices,'" according to the post.
