Bring your own bag to Target, get 5 pennies

The Minnesota-based retail giant is jumping on the save-a-tree bandwagon.
Customers who bring their own reusable bags to Target will get a 5-cent discount for each bag. The plan comes just after CVS announced that it will give customers a $1 credit for every four times they buy something but don't need a plastic bag.
Combined, the two programs could keep millions of plastic bags from entering the ecosystem, according to USA Today. Check out their story for a scary graphic on how many plastic bags Americans recycle each year -- it's not many of the 90 billion produced.
